Earlier we launched a new initiative for cash-strapped, purpose-driven founders who want to positively impact the world.
It is our Impact Karma Seed.
To put it simply, our Karma Impact Seed is an initiative to help impact businesses increase their positive impact in the world. We want to help good businesses become better brands. and this is one of the ways we do so.
And we’ve had some amazing responses from some awesome founders who are currently completing the program (and are using the information learned to help their business).
Today, I want to introduce some of these world changers to you. We’re so incredibly proud to be able to help them accelerate their impact through our Impact Brand Story Crafting program (that’s what they get access to with this initiative).
Lose Your Mind
Lose Your Mind, founded by the amazing Leanne Butterworth is a company that dedicates themselves to reducing the stigma of mental illness by giving everyone an insight into what it’s like. They’re a social enterprise that provides mental health literacy training to staff, parents and volunteers through their empathy workshops.
All their workshops can be tailored to suit different circumstances and needs such as:
- Workplace empathy and listening skills to improve mental health culture
- Empathy and early detection / intervention in schools for teachers and parents.
- Empathy and acute responses in emergency service staff
- CPD for mental health professionals
- Empathy enhancement for young people who are struggling to improve parental engagement
Their workshops use 360 degree video with VR gear to simulate the experience of a young person going through a psychotic episode in a way that’s respectful, emotionally engaging and interesting.
Using technology and a unique approach, they strive to make the invisible, visible and help many others have increased empathy and insight. And make it easier for people to be vulnerable and have difficult conversations on mental illness.
Noteworthy Cards
Noteworthy Cards is an impact business founded by the incredible James Agnew!
They’re a company that makes beautiful greeting cards, with a massive range depicting beautiful paintings and ombre calligraphy to suit everyone’s needs.
The best thing is, they also donate all the proceeds to purchase life-changing gifts that support community, education, good food, good health, safe water and sanitation for people suffering in poverty.
So far they’ve contributed to causes such as providing pre-school education, improving disability access and food gifts for those who don’t have anything to eat.
They’re also partnered with TEAR Australia, working together to support long-term poverty fighting projects run by accredited organisations in multiple countries around the world.
